| Online Land Training Block 2 The initial launch of our Virtual Dry Land Program has been well received with over 100 UWA West Coast athletes signed up.
Thank you to everyone who filled in our feedback survey, and for all your positive comments.
We are so happy to hear that your swimmers have enjoyed the program and loved connecting online with their squad and coach, as well as maintaining their fitness.
The second block of Virtual Dry Land training will run for 3 weeks at a flat fee of $45 ($15/wk), and will commence on Monday 11th May-Friday 29th May.
It will run in a similar format as before, with swimmers logging in each day from home via a squad specific Webex link and going through the dry land program with their coach and other squad members in the Virtual Dry Land Training Session.
100% of fees collected will be paid to the coaches.
UWA Sport is not involved in the organisation of these session or paying the coaches. This is an initiative by UWA West Coast Swimming Club.
Based on the feedback, the next 3 week block of training will be at the following times:
PN: Mon, Wed, Fri 6.30am, Tues, Thurs 4.30pm Michael Shaw
DN: Mon-Fri 6.30am Rob Palfery
EN: Mon-Fri 6.45am Warren Paynter
Combined Juniors: Mon-Fri 4.30pm Ryan Spencer
Online registrations are now open please register here before Saturday 9th May.
We have split the program into separate squads, to ensure wherever possible swimmers stay connected with their coach in small group sizes at a suitable level for the swimmer's ability. So please make certain to sign your child up for their correct squad, according to their current enrolment. (We will be cross checking with our squad lists as part of the registration process as well as conducting daily roll calls).
At the time of registration, you will receive an automatic email from the updated UWA West Coast Uniform Store, with the link to join the Webex meeting for the next 3 weeks. (Please check your junk emails).
If you require assistance registering or downloading the Webex meeting link, please contact Marc Metzger via assets@uwawestcoast.org or 0409 097 511
We hope as many of our swimmers will continue with the Virtual Dry Land Program until we are allowed back in the pool.
We will keep you all updated as government restrictions are modified. If the opportunity arises within the next virtual training block to add in face to face small group training, we will notify registered swimmers as soon as possible.
Thanks for all your support and stay safe.
